History – Le Balcon
Le Balcon mission is to take audiences on musical journeys with a diverse line-up of artists. Musical selections lean toward soul, but also include a wide range of other genres. Every week, from Thursday to Saturday, Le Balcon’s cabaret-style hall welcomes music and performance lovers, foodies and people looking for a memorable experience. Le Balcon is always evolving, presenting extraordinary artistic concepts from around the globe.
This project began in 2005 in Montreal on Papineau Avenue, before settling on Notre-Dame Street for 9 years. In 2015, Le Balcon established itself in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles by occupying the Dawson Room of the Saint-James United Church, which has been designated a Canadian National Historic Monument.
This venue is now a must to discover talented artists from the Montreal and international scene. Its unique dinner-show formula combines fine market cuisine and high-caliber performances to live unforgettable moments.
